"It Does Make a Difference What You Believe"
NO OTHER TRANSLATION IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE EQUALS OR IS SUPERIOR TO OUR KING JAMES BIBLE, THE AUTHORIZED VERSION. It presents to us purity of doctrine and flawless counsel. We make no apologies for our stand upon and our use of the King James translation. Its matchless beauty and accuracy has no equal. (1Peter 1:25)
The Authorized Version has been preserved for us under the singular care and providence of God. We need to believe it and practice it. It is sad the trouble that the new unreliable translations, paraphrases, etc., have brought to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. They cause widespread confusion, divisions, and provide opportunity for perverting the truth. A great deal of scholarship and theological activity is being concentrated upon an attempt to discredit the Bible, especially the KJV. There is an all-out attack, in the name of scholarship, upon God's Word and historic Christianity. It is one of the greatest evils ever to have infested the Church. We reject the use or acceptance of the modern translations which lead to compromise and corruption of the Lord's true churches. (2Timothy 4:1-8, Psalm 12:6-7)
WE REJECT THE VIEWS OF MR. ..............., THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE .............., THAT "THE KING JAMES BIBLE HAS MANY ERRORS IN IT". Belief affects practice. No wonder he could tell us that it is alright to have on their committees anyone who is of an liberal or apostate church or denomination "as long as they are christians." No wonder he could tell us that their Committee has GREAT hatred for the Canadian Committee of GBS. No wonder he could write (Nov. 1997) a letter of denial. No wonder the Canadian Committee had advised since 1990 that Dr. Robert Baker should not meet with him alone but have at least one, two or more witnesses present. (Jude 3-7)
My dear friend, we are not to make peace with the apostates. We are in a spiritual warfare with them. We are to expose them for what they are. This means we are to contend for the faith. We are to try to reach them with the Glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This does not mean to have fellowship with them. We are not to be identified with them. (2Corinthians 6:14-18) As a movement GBS separates from theological liberalism and compromising accommodation. GBS embraces the whole Bible and not a bible full of holes (errors).
"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee". Deuteronomy 31:6
Bible Societies or any other organizations are not
the foundation and pillar of the Truth. The N. T. Chuch is the foundation and pillar of
the Truth. (1Timothy 3:15) This is why GBS believes we must give an answer to the
N. T. Church. We know that this is not popular today, but GBS cares far more for
the honour and glory of our lovely Lord Jesus Christ than we are about popularity, etc.
Yes, we want GBS to be made known, we need funds to carry out the free distribuion
of the HOLY BIBLE, etc., but our chief goal is to please the Lord and that He might have
the preeminence. (Colossians 1:10) We thank God for the many faithful prayer and financial
supporters that God has raised up to stand with and support GBS. If you have not
written, please write us and let us know that you are standing with us. If you need a
quick reply, please mark "URGENT" at the top of your letter. We are trying to
answer a backlog of mail, but a response to your gift comes first. Thank you for your
understandng in these matters. Please keep on praying and those letters coming. (1Peter
5:8-11 Revelation 3:11)

"I have preached God's truth, and I have not
been ashamed of its peculiarities. That I might not stultify my testimony, I have cut
myself clear of those who error from the faith, and even from those who associate with
them."
--Charles Haddon Spurgeon)

From Spurgeon: Obedience Brings Blessing
"Observe and hear all these words, which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God." (Deuteronomy 12;28)
Though salvation is not by the works of the law, yet the blessings which are promised to obedience are not denied to the faithful servants of God. The curses our Lord took away when He was made a curse for us, but no clause of blessing has been abrogated.
We are to note and listen to the revealed will of the Lord, giving our attention not to portions of it but to "all these words." There must be no picking and choosing but an impartial respect to all that God has commanded. This is the road of blessedness for the Father and for His children. The Lord's blessing is upon His chosen to the third and fourth generation. If they walk uprightly before Him, He will make all men know that they are a seed which the Lord has blessed. No blessing can come to us or ours through dishonesty or double dealing. The ways of worldly conformity and unholiness cannot bring good to us or ours. It will go well with us when we go well before God. If integrity does not make us prosper, knavery will not. That which gives pleasure to God will bring pleasure to us.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY:
Heresy and Apostacy
We believe in total and complete separation as taught in the Word of God, from all heresy
and ecclesiastical apostacy.
We believe the Scripture teaches that we are to:
Try them, I John 4:1. Mark them, Rom. 16:17. Rebuke them, Titus 1:13.
Have no fellowship, Eph. 5:11. Withdraw ourselves, II Thes. 3:6, Receive them not, II John
10,11. Have no company with them, II Thes. 3:14. Reject them, Titus 3:10. Separate
ourselves, II Cor. 6:17.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY:
The Holy Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible is a supernatural Book; that it is the very God-breathed
Word; that it is the full, the final, and the complete revelation of God's will to man;
that it has God the Holy Spirit for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without
any admixture of error for its matter; that it was written by holy men of old as they were
moved by the Holy Spirit; that it is verbally inspired and a perfect treasure of holy
instruction; and that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and is,
therefore, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human
conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.
We believe the Authorized King James Version of 1611 to be the preserved Word of God for
the English speaking people, faithful and true to the original autographs; that other
versions are inferior and flawed, with some being outright perversions of God's Word; that
other versions are totally unnecessary, as the King James is not only faithful, but an
absolutely effective conveyance of God's message to mankind.
Ps. 119:89; II Tim. 3:16-17; Rev. 22:18-19; Jn. 17:17; Jn. 3;32-34; II Pet.1:20-21; I
Pet.1:10-12; Zeph. 1:1; Ps. 19:7-11; Ex. 20:3-17; Ps. 1:2; Jn. 12:48.

A SOFT AND EFFEMINATE CHRISTIANITY
HORATIUS BONAR ON BIBLICAL REPROOF AND CORRECTION - Circa 1890
There is some danger of falling into a soft and effeminate Christianity, under the plea of a lofty and ethereal theology. Christianty was born for endurance; not an exotic, but a hardy plant, braced by the keen wind; not languid, nor childish, nor cowardly. It walks with strong step and erect frame; it is kindly, but firm; it is gentle, but honest; it is calm, but not facile; obliging, but not imbecile; decided, but not churlish. It does not fear to speak the stem word of condemnation against error, nor to raise its voice against surrounding evil, under the pretext it is not of this world, it does not shrink from giving honest reproof, lest it come under the charge of displaying an unchristian spirit. It calls sin sin, in whomsoever it is found, and would rather risk the accusation of being actuated by a bad spirit than not to discharge an explicit duty. Let us not misjudge strong words used in honest controversy. Out of the heat a viper may come forth; but we shake it off and feel no harm. The religion of both Old and New Testaments is marked by fervent testimonies against evil. To speak smooth things in such a case may be sentimentalism, but it is not Christianity... It is a betrayal of truth and righteousness. I know that charity covers a multitude of sins; but it does not call evil good, because a good man has done it; it does not excuse inconsistencies, because the inconsistent brother has a high name and a fervent spirit; crookedness and worldliness are still crookedness, though exhibited in one who seems to have reached no common height~of attainment. - By Horatius Bonar. 1818-1899

2 Corinthians 4
1. Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2. But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8. We are troubled on every side, yet not istressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14. Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
